The “Trainer of Trainers” course in the Photovoltaic Panels is an innovative training programme funded by the European Union to support the development and up-skilling of the workforce.

  2. Fundamentals of PV technology

    How solar plant implementation affects production costs.
    Solar panel market trends and challenges.

  3. The theory behind PV panels
    The fundamentals of photovoltaic technology and solar energy conversion.
    Solar energy production and Earth’s energy balance.
    Solar spectrum and atmospheric effects.
    The role of semiconductors and P-N junctions in solar cells.
    I-V Curve analysis and optimalization of the performance through Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT).

  1. Power Electronics in PV systems
    The fundamentals of electrical principles and circuit design.
    The function of inverters (DC-DC, DC-AC) and battery storage systems.
    Techniques for optimizing system performance.
    Energy storage and battery management.

  2. Balance of System (BOS) components

    The electrical components such as cables, switches, inverters and protection devices.
    The mechanical aspects including mounting structures and environmental considerations.
    Safety measures and system reliability.

  3. PV panel installation

    Essential installation safety measures: preparation and inspection steps before installation.
    Unpacking, storage, and pre-installation checks.
    Proper panel installation and orientation strategies.

    Maintenance and cleaning techniques to ensure long-term performance.

The online self-paced online course.
Duration – 8 hours of self-study, inc. video lessons, a game simulator and a final assessment.
