Workshop invitation: Decarbonization of the heating industry - geothermal energy and energy communities

PEDAL Consulting would like to invite you to the workshop “Decarbonization of the heating industry, with the example of interconnection with geothermal energy and the emergence of energy communities”

The event is free and is organised under the W4RES project “Women for market uptake of renewable heating and cooling”. It is a 3-year EU-funded project which aims at scaling-up the involvement of women in the market deployment and uptake of renewable heating and cooling solutions via replicable support measures tested and validated across 8 European countries.

Workshop programme outline

In the framework of this initiative, we organise a series of events in form of mutual learning. The workshop will be divided into two parts:

  1. part will focus on planning of the heating industry decarbonization. It will include expert presentation on how geothermal energy can be used. A site visit of an interesting Galantatherm project initiated by women is included.
  2. part will be dedicated to legal aspects of energy communities in Slovakia as well as some interesting best practice examples from abroad.

Who is the event suitable for?
We are happy to invite:

SMEs, policy makers, citizens, researchers, running or potential energy communities and other organizations with interest in decarbonisation of heating industry, energy communities, geothermal / renewable energy, gender and diversity

 to join us for interesting presentations followed by lively discussions.

Travel costs 
Travel expenses of participants outside of Slovakia can be covered by the project. However, as there are only limited resources, this offer applies based on the first come first serve principle.
